Another reason to get an ipod touch.

Although Apple has not yet made public, the number of applications approved and available in the famous App Store for iPhone and iPod touch has already went over the amount of 100,000. A great achievement for the Cupertino company, which was confirmed as clear dominating the mobile market in August and already had surpassed the 65,000 applications. Despite criticism of the policy of censorship is evident that developers in the App Store are a powerful ally.
The number comes from the App Shopper application directory, which includes 101,751 accepted tools and games for iPhone and iPod touch. As indicated in Mashable, the number is growing at top speed, as only 3 months ago there was talk of 65,000 applications available on the App Store.
In reality, one must take into account that the number of applications actually available is somewhat lower and reach the 93,035 at the online store from Apple, but officially accepted that barrier already above the 100,000 that demonstrate the success of this Cupertino initiative.
In fact, the offer is clearly superior to its competitors: Palm App Catalog, Nokia Ovi and Windows Marketplace Store are far ahead of his rival, and only Android (and medium term) seems to cope with the might of Apple this area.
